Laser treatment – With a laser treatment, superficial and deeper skin wrinkles can be smoothed very effectively…but not only that:

Sunlight, environmental influences, stress and fatigue can quickly make your skin look older than you feel. The Fraxel laser is considered the “miracle weapon” of previous laser methods. It can stretch marks, wrinkles, scars and acne Thanks to the gentle and efficient use of this laser, patients are fully functional again just a few days after treatment.

The skin regenerates quite quickly after a Fraxel laser treatment. It is also suitable for sensitive skin, as the treatment protects the upper layer of skin. The first results can be seen after just a short time.

We offer a modern fractional CO2 laser in our practice. A local anesthetic cream is applied before the treatment. During the treatment you will be given a slight burning and feeling of heat If desired, twilight sleep can also be used.

How long does the laser treatment take?

Depending on the size of the area, the treatment can take between 15 and 50 minutes. For small wrinkles, the treatment takes less time than for deep scars.

Freezing/Cryo-Pen treatment of pigment spots

A very good alternative to Removing pigment spots is that FreezingFor the most effective and easily repeatable treatments, we use the Cry PenThe pigment spots are treated specifically with appropriate cold.

Here too, sun protection is extremely important in the first few months after treatment!

To prepare the pigment spots for the planned treatment, we recommend using our individual product produced in cooperation with a pharmacy. Bleaching creamThis allows good results to be achieved even before the planned freezing and makes the treatment itself work even better.

Laser Treatment – Synonyms & Principle

synonyms: medical grinding

principle: Removal of the superficial layer of skin to reduce wrinkles and renew the surface. In addition, the heat stimulus in deeper skin layers results in tissue tightening.

is often combined with…

  • hyaluronic acid (with temporal distance)
  • blood plasma (with temporal distance)
  • facelift, etc.

efficiency

There are many different types of laser. We mostly use it for surface resurfacing:

The removal of the superficial layer of skin is carried out very precisely - since it is rather difficult to achieve natural transitions, it is always recommended to treat aesthetic areas (e.g. entire nose, entire forehead, entire cheek, etc.). A new, finer, fresher skin surface is formed, which looks younger and refreshed.

Deeper wrinkles with a lack of volume often need to be additionally filled with hyaluronic acid.

The laser can also be used, for example, to remove skin changes. However, an exact diagnosis of the skin change should always be made beforehand

treatment duration

A laser treatment lasts between a few minutes up to 60 minutes

repetition of the treatment

The removal of the superficial layer of skin is essentially permanent. Of course, the surface area of the skin can increase again as we get older.

Then a repetition can also be useful.

However, it makes more sense to supplement in other areas – moisture, volume, etc.

Application in which body region

especially the facial area

directly around the eyes more jet plasma

alternatives

  • dermabrasion
  • peeling
  • jet plasma

Should I have laser treatment do it at all? – Sometimes it is better not to do something at all.

Good advice highlights all the advantages and disadvantages of a treatment – and thus helps you make the right decision.

2

More and more, natural results are about combination treatments – the laser can be a part of this. Individual and honest advice always pays off. Very often there are equivalent, if not more interesting, options with less risk of pigment changes and less downtime

3

One downtime of about one week usually needs to be planned for.

4

What is important is the follow-up treatment – no dirt or irritation to the treated areas. sun protection is also extremely important. Especially in the first few weeks after laser treatment, but basically during the entire first year after treatment, the new skin surface is extremely sensitive to UV light. Without protection, it can quickly lead to permanent damage. pigment changes come.

The sunscreen should have at least SPF 30 and should be used consistently. In our latitudes, laser treatment in the middle of summer is definitely not a good idea!

5

Laser devices have a corresponding price. Accordingly, laser treatment naturally also has a corresponding price. The price/performance ratio of laser treatment must always be discussed and considered individually.

What should you have heard/read before laser treatment?

pigment changes! – especially if you do not use sun protection consistently after the treatment – darker pigment changes are a risk. On the other hand, it can also lead to a noticeably light skin tone in the treated areas

Prejudices

Laser is THE high-tech wonder weapon

facts

Lasers cannot do everything – they work very precisely – but ultimately it is always a treatment with heat and burning – and that is not always good for the tissue – see possible pigment changes.

Regarding cutting with the laser (for example, eyelid surgery with the laser) – as far as the skin incision is concerned, I find the cold, smooth cut with the scalpel to be superior. In my opinion, nothing is more gentle and precise.

Discussion of possibilities and possible alternatives

If at risk – herpes prophylaxis!

plan the treatment well – including sun protection and downtime

THINKING POSITIVELY – helps. It not only prolongs life, but is also always a good first step towards any treatment or operation.

the treatment

  • Rest the treated area for a few days (depending on the type of laser)
  • Sun protection!!
  • If herpes is suspected – start treatment immediately!
  • Aftercare concept with moisturizing of the treated areas and adapted daily care
