Jett plasma uses modern plasma technology. And it does so without a scalpel and without cutting. During the treatment, a cloud of ionized particles is generated from the atmosphere. These small plasma-containing flashes of light cause precise tissue removal through what is known as "sublimation". Jett plasma can be imagined as a type of particularly gentle micro-knife. Should I have a jet plasma treatment do it at all? – Sometimes it is better not to do something at all.
Good advice highlights all the advantages and disadvantages of a treatment – and thus helps you make the right decision.
Difference between Jett plasma and classic upper eyelid lift:
While with an eyelid lift – especially in the upper eyelid area – the goal of skin removal is clearly defined and always achievable, this is not the case with jet plasma treatment.
In terms of downtime and effort, the classic eyelid lift with incision and the jet plasma treatment in the eyelid area are less different than some patients hope.
For both treatments/operations, at least local anesthesia is necessary (jet plasma is only tolerable without local anesthesia in the cosmetic area).
The downtime for both treatments is in the range of 5-7-10 days. With the jet plasma treatment it is shorter, with the classic eyelid lift it is longer.

For a classic eyelid lift, it is usually 1 week to 10 days in the upper eyelid area and 10 days to 2 weeks in the lower eyelid area.
Pains
If the wound is always kept moist, pain is usually not an issue. However, if the wound dries out, it can still pull and tighten. Therefore, you should always keep the wound moist for the first few days. We recommend Hyaluronic Kick from Durnig Aesthetics.
Beware of UV light:
After the Jett plasma treatment sun protection extremely important. Especially in the first few weeks after surgery, but basically throughout the first year after treatment, the new skin surface is extremely sensitive to UV light. Without protection, pigment changes can quickly occur - even permanent ones.
The sunscreen should have at least SPF 30 and be used consistently.
What should you have heard/read before a Jett plasma treatment?
Effect and Limitations: The jet plasma treatment can only keep up with the classic eyelid lift if there is very little excess skin. If there is a few millimeters of excess skin (and usually also excess muscle/soft tissue), the classic eyelid lift is superior. What needs to go away, goes away! And asymmetries can also be balanced out better than with the jet plasma treatment.
Sun protection: is extremely important in the first weeks and months after treatment – otherwise pigment changes are likely!
