You should rest for 2-3 weeks. And do it with feeling and common sense. The basic rule is: do not lift more than 5kg, do not make sudden movements, do not work upside down (bend your knees when tying your shoes), etc.
But you are not sick. That means you should move around, but just take care of the operated area. When lying down, turning to the left and right is allowed and advisable. Otherwise you risk back pain if you just lie on your back with cramps. Obviously you should not lie on the operated area or the surgical wound itself.
