is often combined with…

Combinations are usually not necessary. The full effect can basically be achieved with hyaluronic acid alone

efficiency

theoretically up to 100% of the desired volume

However, larger volumes should be administered gradually

treatment duration

10-20 minutes

repetition of the treatment

The effect lasts for about half a year to a year. A certain structural improvement is possible over this period.

Repetitions are therefore usually recommended at intervals of six months to a year.

decision-making aids

Essentially, these are fundamental decisionsthat make up a hyaluronic treatment of the lip region:

1

Should I have hyaluronic acid treatment on my lips? do it at all? – Sometimes it is better not to do something at all.

Good advice highlights all the advantages and disadvantages of a treatment – and thus helps you make the right decision.

2

compatibility

the compatibility of hyaluronic acid with modern high-quality materials is very good - nevertheless, slight hardening (but sometimes also simply slight scarring after swelling or bruising - and can be improved with light massage) can occur, sometimes even real nodules and granulomas

However, with hyaluronidase there is an “antidote”, so to speak, with which hardenings can be dissolved or improved in most cases – if necessary.

However, if excessive amounts are not administered per treatment, problems with tolerability are extremely rare

3

Crowd

in most cases 1m hyaluronic acid the standard amount for slightly emphasizing the upper and lower lip. With less amount, the result is usually good immediately after the treatment and in the first few days afterward. However, after the swelling has subsided, most patients come back to top up the volume towards the total amount of 1ml.

Some lips and faces can tolerate 1.5-2ml. Of course, this is always a question of style and personal taste.

I am definitely for naturalness and will therefore never recommend excessive quantities.

4

ratio of upper lip to lower lip

The perfect ratio is probably somewhere between 1/3 upper lip to 2/3 lower lip up to 1/2 upper lip to 1/2 lower lip. For me, it's more the former. In any case, a lip where the upper lip has more volume than the lower lip will not be perceived as "beautiful" or natural in most cases. Especially if this gives the profile in the upper lip area too much emphasis.

Whatever volume you add to the upper lip area should at least also be added to the lower lip area.

5

Every treatment is different

Individual adjustment to the face and the basic shape of the lips is important!

What should you have heard/read before undergoing hyaluronic acid treatment in the lip area?

It is important to carry out a precise analysis of the patient's wishes and to discuss the planned concept. This should always be tailored to the patient as individually as possible.

Prejudices

dinghy lips…

facts

Hyaluron can be used very naturally in the lip area to emphasize the lip region. Each treatment should be individually tailored to the wishes and needs of the patient

most common possible side effects/complications

  • bruises
  • Asymmetry (always present on two sides to a certain extent)
  • Swelling in the first few days, residual swelling possible for several weeks
  • granuloma, nodule

details Information on possible complications can be found in the information documents

In summary, good preparation (information, explanation, precise analysis of wishes and discussion), experience of the practitioner, aesthetic eye and sensitivity as well as the material are important factors for the success of lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid.

You should avoid…

  • too much volume (especially not all at once)
  • Emphasis on the upper lip alone

anesthesia

We use for maximum pain reduction

  • maximum effective & maximum dose local anesthetic cream
  • ice cooling before and again during the treatment (to reduce pain), of course also after the treatment to reduce swelling
  • Local anesthetic mixed with hyaluronic acid – Attention: If you regularly have difficulty tolerating local anesthesia – please let us know! – cream and ice are usually sufficient to reduce pain
  • 1 hour before treatment, one Spain medication taking

the treatment

  • 10 days before treatment if possible no blood-thinning medicationsPlease also avoid citrus fruits and ginger.
  • 1 hour before treatment, one Spain medication taking

the treatment

  • Ice cooling in the first few days
  • In case of severe swelling or severe pulling, pain-relieving, decongestant tablets (such as Parkemed)
  • Generally speaking, do not touch too often in the first few days
  • if necessary, with clean fingers 1-2 times a day "optimize" with gentle to medium pressure - stroking or flattening or lightly kneading

our preferred technique/recommendation

  • 1ml of high-quality modern hyaluronic acid
  • maximum pain reduction (see above)
  • natural individual distribution after precise wish analysis and discussion

Cost

Costs are on average depending on quantity at approx.

360-450 lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid – depending on the actual quantity, material and effort

reasonable budget

Basically, you always determine the price or your budget yourself. Depending on the quantity and quality of the material used, there is a reasonable price range from - to:

A final cost estimate is only possible and meaningful after a detailed on-site inspection and clarification of individual wishes.

downtime

usually not –

However, in the first few days it is better not to schedule important appointments due to possible swelling or bruising

Important to know…

  • iindividual customization to the lip shape and individual wishes
  • less is often more

FAQs

Make-up/ggf.

Frage 4
Was ist besser: Hyaluron oder Botox..?

Antwort:
