"A scar is never invisible" is my most common answer.

Firstly, a scar is always more or less visible. Therefore, a beautiful scar can never be guaranteed. Last but not least, it always depends somewhat on your predisposition.

However, there are a few tricks to positively influence scarring, especially in breast enlargement. These include choosing the position for the incision. It is obviously important to handle the tissue gently. If the implant is soft, this is usually good for a natural result and the incision can be shorter. If a funnel is then used, the incision length can be shortened even further.

After breast augmentation, the scar should be protected and well cared for.

Where is the best position for the incision/scar?

There is no single answer. However, these variants are possible:

• cut in the inframammary fold
• or cut around (or in the area of) the nipple
• or cut in the area of armpit

Ultimately, the best possible incision and the position of the later scar will depend on the initial situation and your individual wishes.

Several factors play a role:

What does ideal scar care look like?

What about the sun and scarring?

In addition, we recommend consistently sun protection factor 30 or more. This is intended to prevent pigment changes.

The best sun protection is shade. Therefore, you should spend a lot of time in the shade according to your individual sun exposure time. This will ultimately pay off in terms of UV damage to the skin.

How should the scar massage be performed?

It is best to massage the scars along the woundStart with light pressure. You can increase the pressure over time. In harder scar areas, also use a pressure massage with your finger in a light circular motion against the surface.
