This is how you can determine the correct size of your implants comfortably and without time pressure at home:

Cook the rice and let it cool down – fill the desired amount into a thin plastic bag – shape it well to the breast under the sports bra – done!

And now - try out as much as possible. It's best to start with a tighter white T-shirt. Then with your favorite top. Maybe try running a few steps in the new size or go out for an evening to get a feel for the effect it has on your surroundings. A test at work can also help, of course, if it's more physically demanding.

Change the amount of rice until the optimal size is found.

Once you have found “your” correct size, weigh the rice and note the grams. This value is the perfect way to determine the correct implant size.

This method also prevents you from choosing a breast implant that is too large. You can feel directly what the chosen weight means (including the spine). The size is then not just an abstract number.

Width = accurate analysis of the upper body & chest

During one of your appointments with the plastic surgeon, your upper body will be measured precisely. This will include the width of your chest, the shape and width of your ribcage, and tissue coverage.

A well-fitting breast implant is always adapted to the width of the patient's breast. Therefore, the decision about choosing the right size of breast implant is always a very individual one.

Height = projection

Increasing the height of the implant – with the same diameter – naturally results in an increase in the weight of the implant.

Simulation of the result = 3D

3D helps to get a good picture of the possible result.

However, it is of course always a calculated image and never corresponds exactly to the result, but it is a good guideline. The naturalness of a simulated 3D image also always leaves something to be desired. The 3D image is usually not an "advertisement" for breast enlargement. However, it helps with important decisions such as projection or the correct cut. If the implant alone does not achieve sufficient improvement in the position of the nipples, tightening skin incisions are useful. This can be considered and decided very well with 3D before breast enlargement.

In case of existing breast asymmetry, 3D is very helpful in choosing the right implant sizes.
